Through her practice, Hayes analyses the parameters and aesthetics that converge in the current works of artists of African descent.

Carla Hayes Mayoral (Málaga, 1997)  is an Afro-Andalusian artist whose line of research focuses on the analysis of otherness in contemporary art from a postcolonial and feminist perspective; as well as on contemporary creation and production, analysing the parameters and aesthetics that converge in the current works of artists of African descent.

Hayes Mayoral has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Málaga since 2019 and has completed the Master in Interdisciplinary Artistic Production at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Málaga, in 2020. She has presented her work in solo exhibitions such as Memorias Mestizas, Museo Thyssen- Bornemisza de Madrid. Un paisaje propio, Sala de Exposiciones Facultad de Bellas Artes de Málaga or La hebra que falta, Palacio del Almirante, Granada 2021 and group exhibitions: Art for Change at the Jardín Botánico La Concepción, (Málaga 2021), Over the Rainbow at the Sala Rectorado de Málaga (Málaga, 2021), INT20 at the Centro Cultural MVA (Málaga, 2021), Arte Aparte (La Carolina, 2020), the Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño (Madrid, 2019) or the Art & Breakfast Fair (Málaga, 2019).
