The artist’s practice and investigation reflects on memory, myth and identity through a decolonial and symbolic lens that challenges the dominant narratives and visual hegemonies of the West.
Raquel Algaba (Madrid, 1992) is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores mythology, memory and identity through sculpture, ceramics, installation and drawing. Her work blends symbolic references from diverse cultural traditions—ranging from Mediterranean to Asian and Mesopotamian—creating hybrid, ritual-like compositions that challenge dominant Western narratives.
