Smék Setúbal Brazil

Smék Setúbal is a collaboration between the artists Paul Setúbal and Dora Smék. The development of their collaboration begins at the intersection and friction between the individual productions of the two artists, establishing itself as a third artistic entity with its own distinct questions, concerns, and references.

Starting from the concepts of opposition, tension, and continuity with mythological, physical, and alchemical references, Smék and Setúbal have been creating since 2017 a series of installations, sculptures, video sculptures, videos, performances, and photographs that have as their starting point the tensions inherent in human relationships.
